Ottawa businesses and other community-minded organizations are stepping up to keep marginalized children warm this winter by delighting clients, staff and others with a gift of scrumptious cookies.

The Tim Hortons® Smile Cookie Campaign, running September 19-25, donates the full $1 from every Smile Cookie sold to The Snowsuit Fund to purchase snowsuits for deserving children 15 years and younger.

Buying just 50 cookies will outfit one child in a brand-new snowsuit. For many local youngsters, that means staying toasty warm while playing in the snow and on those chilly morning walks to school.

The Fund is delighted to have a new sponsor this year: Trexity, which is providing free delivery for bulk orders placed online.

“It’s important to us that we not only support local merchants but give back to our local community as well,” says Alok Ahuja, co-founder and CEO of the locally based logistics service. “We are excited to be the official Snowsuit Fund Smile Cookie Delivery Partner.”
