The Role
As a Senior Web Engineer, you will be tasked with implementing solutions on the server and the client, working on both greenfield and legacy projects. Your day-to-day activities will involve developing features in React or React Native, improving server functionality in Node.js and Express, and enhancing our infrastructure on Google Cloud.
The Challenge
This position offers the opportunity to lead feature implementation and shape the trajectory of our products. You will help improve our ecommerce integrations, participate and lead in technical discussions, manage your time on multiple tasks, and assist with providing customer support. To excel in this role, you need to balance multiple challenges, be solution-oriented, and have the ability to constantly think on your feet.
Requirements
- At least 5 (five) years of experience shipping user facing features
- At least 5 hours overlap with EST (first 60 days must start at 9:00 EST)
- Experience leading and taking responsibility for product solutions
- Capable of contributing to and leading technical discussions
- Experienced in implementing both server and client solutions
- Can work with legacy code and managing database schemas
- Skilled in implementing REST resources and robust HTTP clients
- Well-versed in React or React Native, Node.js and Express
- Prior experience working with Google Cloud or AWS an asset
- Prior experience working in a startup and handling multiple tasks simultaneously an asset
